The Echo Nest Data Study
The Echo Nest is a company specialized in the analysis of musical consumption of internet users. They created a system of algorithms which allows to analyze songs and store some parameters in a database.
These parameters helped to carry out a study covering one million songs selected by the Million Song Dataset team. This musical study shows the average Energy value calculated for each key of the chromatic scale. The results obtained may be of interest to musicians, musicologists and music therapists.
